What You’ll Need For Hat:

How To Make the Hat

  1. Print the hat on regular paper or cardstock and cut out the pieces (use cardstock for a sturdier hat). Be sure not to cut off any of the gray tabs.

2. Wrap the two ends of the cone piece together so the edges line up, then secure the shape with the large gray tab using glue or double-sided tape. Note: If you would like to add any embellishments to the top of the hat, tape them to the inside of the cone piece before closing it shut. You may need to snip a small hole in the top of the hat to thread the embellishments through.

3. Take the two pieces that will form the band of the hat and fold the small tabs inward.

4. Attach the two band pieces together with the gray tab at the end of each piece.

5. Drop the cone into the center of the band and tape the tabs to the inside of the cone piece.

6. Secure the hat to the head by punching a hole in each side of the hat and threading a string through each hole. Tie the ends of the string together beneath the chin.

How To Make the Banner

How To Make the Banner

  1. Print the banner on regular paper or cardstock and cut out the pieces.

2. Place the pieces in reverse order (blank side up) on a flat surface. Cut a length of string or ribbon long enough to stretch across all pieces. Leave about twenty inches on each end to help you tie up the banner.

3. Attach each piece to the string with tape. Attaching the string toward the top of each piece will keep the pieces from flipping upside down when you hang the banner.

4. When your banner is complete, hang it up for your party celebration.

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
