Yesterday, Disney hosted us for a media event to see many of the things that the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays offers. We got an opportunity to see some of the specialty merch that is available for this event.

First, we made a stop to see Joyful. If you are not already in the holiday spirit, you will be after this. Central Florida has so many talented singers and musicians, and they found many of them for this show.

You feel like you are in the middle of a gospel show, and it is an amazing experience. Get ready to sing and dance along to this incredible performance and show. There are multiple showtimes throughout the day, weather permitting.

We also were given a time to see the Candlelight Processional. This is one of my personal favorite events at Walt Disney World. It was sad that it did not happen last year because of COVID-19, but we are glad it is back. Chita Rivera was the celebrity narrator, and she was amazing. She was getting into it, and you could tell she enjoyed being there.

The holiday choir at Disneyland Resort, dressed in bright yellow robes, sings festive tunes on stage beneath warm lights. The performers face the conductor and musicians, filling the park with magical holiday cheer and creating unforgettable entertainment for guests.

If you didn’t know, the choir is made up of Cast Members. There used to be high school students, but they kept the number lower this year due to social distancing and trying to keep COVID numbers under control.

In the middle, you will see the Voices of Liberty as the tree, and the talent is incredible. The entire Orchestra is excellent, and it again shows the talent you can find in Florida.

 

The Candlelight Processional runs until December 30th and ends with a final celebrity narrator, which is Pat Sajak.

The Candlelight Processional first debuted in 1958 at Disneyland in California. It is truly amazing that something that started then is still around today and has grown to what it is. This is a tradition for many families, and you won’t want to miss it.
