On the My Disney Experience App, there used to be a countdown to October 1st, 2021, which is when the World’s Most Magical Celebration begins. Now, if you go on there, it will pop up for half a second but then disappear although it is still on the website. Many Guests did not understand that the Mickey ears were a zero and would get very confused by it. The ears have now been replaced by a zero at the end. The calendar on the app used to count down by minutes and seconds.

Obviously, this does not change all the festivities that are happening on October 1st, 2021. It is interesting that they have changed this, especially since many Guests would check it every day and look forward to it.

If you’re wondering what is going to be happening on October 1st, 2021 it will be the first night of the new Magic Kingdom fireworks show Disney Enchantment, and at EPCOT they will also have a new fireworks show called Harmonious. These nighttime spectaculars will continue, so if you miss it October 1st, don’t worry because you’ll have plenty of opportunities to see them. Most Guests, will say fireworks are what was missing at the parks, so we’re so thankful to have them back.

Also, if you are at EPCOT on October 1st, 2021, that is opening day for the brand new ride Remy’s Ratatouille AdventureThis is going to be a 4D Adventure based on Disney and Pixar film Ratatouille. There will be a virtual queue for this ride that will open at 7 a.m. and any extra spots available will open up again at 1 p.m. You are required to have a Disney Park Pass Reservation to grab a boarding pass, and this is all done on the My Disney Experience App.
