Low Wait Times Early in the Day for the 50th Anniversary

Today is the day that many Guests have been patiently waiting for. It is the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World. Although Park Pass Reservations have been full for a while, Magic Kingdom and EPCOT wait times are surprisingly low early in the day.

 

 

 

 

There were Guests lined up before the sun even was out, and there were many people outside of the gates before the Parks opened. Even with all that, wait times don’t seem too bad. There are many Guests lined up to get 50th Anniversary merchandise, though.

There are probably many Guests who were not able to get a Park Pass Reservation and want to see the new fireworks shows, so we are assuming that once Park Hopper is an option, there will be many more Guests entering the Park and wait times will most likely go up. There will also probably be many people who want to grab a spot for the fireworks. Tonight is the first official night of Harmonious at EPCOT and the first-night Guests will see live and in-person Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom.

 

Surprisingly there are still reservations for Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom if you are a Walt Disney World Resort Guests or have a Theme Park Ticket. Spots are still filled up for Annual Passholders. If you’re hoping to catch one of the fireworks shows, you could still have that opportunity by getting a reservation for one of the other two parks and then Park hop at 2 pm. 

If you cannot be at Walt Disney World today, there will still be plenty of opportunities for you to enjoy all of the festivities. You have 18 months to be a part of The World’s Most Magical Celebration.
