Magic Kingdom’s Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Now Closed for Refurbishment

Are you visiting Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom this week? Take note as “The Wildest Ride In The Wilderness” is now closed for refurbishment.

As noted on the Walt Disney World website: “Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed for refurbishment from June 7 through June 12.” The webpage does say to check back for updates, but we’re hopeful the refurbishment timeframe will remain on track and Big Thunder will only remain closed for the week.

While we aren’t sure why Disney is planning a refurbishment right as summer breaks are kicking off, we’re sure it’s all for the better as usual! We’ll keep you posted as we learn more about the refurbishment.
