Mardi Gras Returns at Universal Orlando in 2022

Although we are primarily a Disney focused site, we like to keep you in the loop when there are big announcements at the other theme parks in Central Florida. So many things changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and many special events and celebrations had to be canceled. Universal Studios Orlando announced that they will be bringing back their Mardi Gras Celebration in 2022.

The parades with dazzling floats will go down the street, and there will be beads thrown into the audience, so if you enjoy collecting those, you will have that opportunity again. Just be careful because it doesn’t feel very good if you get hit in the face with one; I know that from experience.

So many different concerts have had to be canceled or postponed, but Universal Studios Orlando will be bringing back their concert series. The lineup has not been announced yet, but we’re sure that there will be some amazing artists taking that stage. We are patiently waiting to find out the lineup and when it is announced we will let you know.

If you are hoping that they will have specialty food, you will be happy to find out that there will be an assortment of authentic food from New Orleans and dishes inspired by the diverse tastes worldwide. There will also be specialty drinks available for those over 21.

All of the festivities with these events are included with your theme Park ticket so you can be a part of it all. If you have an Annual Pass you can enjoy this event over and over again. This is a huge step in the right direction to start getting a sense of normal back. Just do your part to help keep everyone safe.
