Yesterday, we learned the sad news that Disney’s Magical Express Service will be discontinued beginning January 1, 2022. As evident in the numerous Disney fan comments about this news, it’s very apparent this service, which has been in service for 15 years now, will be greatly missed. Mears Transportation, which operates Magical Express, released the following statement regarding Monday’s announcement.

As shared by SpectrumNews13: “Walt Disney made us aware of their decision,” Mears spokesperson Roger Chapin said. “While we are disappointed Disney will no longer offer this service, we intend to continue offering transportation services between the airport and all area theme parks and hotels to meet the demand of our visitors now and in the future.”

While we don’t have any details of what their transportation may look like or cost Disney Resort Guests, we are thankful to hear Mears is still planning to provide some form of service. In the meantime, we hope to see progress in the plans for the Brightline station at Disney Springs which would connect to Orlando International Airport and South Florida.
