The ride to and from Orlando International Airport is going to look a little different when 2022 rolls around for Disney travelers. We previously shared the news that Walt Disney World has announced they will no longer be offering their complimentary Magical Express transportation to and from the airport for their Disney Resort guests in 2022. With the service going away, Mears has announced they will be offering transportation for a fee. We now know those fees and that reservations are currently available for the service as it begins January 1, 2022.
Mears Connect states the service is the “Same reliable, safe service guests have been using for decades to Disney area hotels. Service starts January 1, 2022.” Currently, there are two Mears selections. You can choose Mears Standard service which is a shared service with large vehicles and monitored wait time. The second option is Mears Premium service which states it is a limited wait time with direct service. The introductory rates for their “Reserve Now & Save” promotion are listed below:
Standard Service:
One Way: $16.00 per adult, $13.50 per child
Round Trip: $32.00 per adult, $ 27.00 per child
Premium Service:
Round Trip: $200.00 (up to 4 passengers)
Per Additional Passenger: $55.00
It’s hard to go from anything complimentary to being charged for a service. Do you feel like the Mears pricing is reasonable, and do you plan to use it as a Disney Resort guests in 2022 and beyond?
