The 50th anniversary celebration for The Haunted Mansion at Disneyland is underway. The celebration includes special anniversary merchandise and we have learned from Disney Parks Blog that this merchandise is making its way to Walt Disney World, too! The official anniversary is August 9th and Magic Kingdom Park will feature the merchandise as well as a themed treat. Guests will want to check out Memento Mori, Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe and Frontier Trading Post to check it out!

Over at Memento Mori, guests can check out the Host-A-Ghost collection. Per Disney Parks Blog, “From her Séance Circle, Madame Leota invites all the guests of the Haunted Mansion to become caretakers to one of its “999 Restless Spirits.” With a simple tap, and a ghostly giggle, Leota, as the head spiritualist, will channel your spirit to materialize for you. You will receive a “death certificate” that officiates your role of caretaker for a resident and happy haunt from the Haunted Mansion. Guests can choose from a selection of dearly departed souls, including Constance Hatchaway, Professor Phineas Plump, The Hatbox Ghost, among others.”
There will also be items like an ear hat, ornament, mug, magnet and even a toy replica of the doom buggy vehicle that features special sounds. There is even a special PANDORA charm set, ALEX AND ANI bracelet, a light up Mickey ear headband and more.
At Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, you’ll want to check out the newest Haunted-Mansion inspired Dooney & Bourke collection including a tote and cross body bag. There will also be a special offering just for Annual Passholders.
For the pin collectors out there, there is a mystery pin collection at Frontier Trading Post. You will also want to check out the glow in the dark Madame Leota Funko Pop.
You also don’t want to miss the special Haunted Mansion themed Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots!
We also mentioned the sweat treat that will be available, too! There will be the Host-A-Ghost chocolate cupcake made with a dark chocolate truffle filling, crispy pearls, buttercream icing, and milk chocolate decoration. Looks delicious, right?
Guests who are at the Disney Villain After Hours event on August 8th will have access to some of the items in advance so that they can complete their purchases before everything is available to all the other guests on August 9th.
