Minnie Rocks the Dots Event Coming to Walt Disney World on January 21st

In honor of National Polka Dot Day, Walt Disney World will be celebrating with a special event called Minnie Rocks the Dots.  The event was hosted last year and has made a return to celebrate all things polka dots at Disney Springs. The official celebration will take place on Sunday, January 21st with some of the event festivities starting on January 18th and running through Sunday.  There will be a variety of fun for guests to participate in.  Here are some of the things coming to Walt Disney World for guests that are sporting their polka dots at Disney Springs:

  • Staring January 18th, guests will be able to get a Minnie Dot Package Makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.  It will include a tutu, t-shirt bow and a Minnie Mouse hairdo.  Guests that purchase the package will also receive a free Minnie Mouse dessert from Amorette’s Patisserie.  The package can be booked by calling 407-WDW-STYLE.
  • Starting January 18th, PANDORA will have a Minnie Mouse gift set that features 3 different Minnie Mouse charms, plus a free polka do Minnie Mouse scarf.  The special set is limited and will only be available while supplies last.
  • Running from January 18th through January 22nd, there will be discounts and offers at a variety of locations:
    • American Threads
    • Basin
    • Arribas Brothers
    • JOHNNY WAS
    • Luxury of Time by Diamonds International
    • Sperry
    • Sugarboo & Co.
    • Volcom
    • Alex and Ani:  The first 100 guests each day will receive a free gift
    • Coach:  There will be a free gift with any purchase
    • M.A.C. Cosmetics: There will be complimentary Minnie-inspired demos
    • Blaze Fast Fire’d Pizza
    • Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea
    • Paddlefish
    • D-Luxe Burger
    • The Ganachery
    • Sprinkles
  • On January 21st from 1 PM to 6 PM, there will be a DJ Dance Party in the Town Center area.  Minnie Mouse will also be in at the party showing off a few of her fabulous polka dot outfits.
  • There will be a special photo backdrop for guests to commemorate the event with PhotoPass photographers on standby.
  • Commemorative buttons will also be given out to guests who are attending the event at Disney Springs as well as guests that visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

There will also be live streams of the event from #DisneyParksLIVE.  On January 21st, starting at 12:55 PM EST.  Guests just need to visit Disney Parks Blog and look for the link to join the live stream.  The live stream will feature a send-off for Minnie Mouse as she will head to California on January 22nd for the unveiling ceremony of her new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
