Old Port Royale at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is set to re-open at Walt Disney World this fall. When that happens, guests will be able to check out the new Centertown Market. This area will have a market-style quick service location and will be full of amazing colors and Caribbean details. Of course, everything done by Disney is intentional. The Imagineers completed immense research of festivals and celebrations that are held throughout the Caribbean Islands. This research is what inspired the hand-painted mural that will be found within Centertown Market.

Here is a sneak peak at this amazing mural effort:
This is a mural that could be found in a local marketplace building within the Caribbean, so it definitely gives you a taste of the Caribbean culture when enjoying the space. The mural depicts a street parade complete with music, dance and lavish costume pieces made from feathers and colorful hand-cut and fringed crepe paper.
For all of you foodies out there, there will also be a new table service restaurant at the resort, Sebastian’s Bistro. This will be another great offering featuring Caribbean flavors that we can all get excited for!
What do you guys think of the amazing mural thus far?
