What You Need to Know About “Moonlight Magic” at Walt Disney World

Disney is offering a special “Moonlight Magic” event at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World.  The event will take place on Friday, February 24th and Friday, March 3rd from 10PM to 1AM.  The event is for DVC Members with tickets, in which they will receive complimentary food and beverage options along with access to numerous rides at the park.  The event is now sold out for both nights, so only guests that currently have reservations will be able to attend.  More information has been released about the event.


Here are the details about the event that you will need to know:

  • Check-In –   Guests will need to check-in and get their wrist bands for the event.  The wrist bands will be available at the following locations and times, depending on if you are just arriving to the park or already in the park:
    • Main Entrance:  7PM
    • Stitch’s Great Escape (Tomorrowland):  5PM
    • Tortuga Tavern (Adventureland):  5:30PM
  • Available Attractions –   The following attractions will be open durng the event for guests to enjoy:
    • Adventureland: Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise
    • Liberty Square:  Haunted Mansion
    • Frontierland:  Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Country Bear Jamboree
    • Fantasyland:  Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, Mickey’s Philharmagic, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid, Peter Pan’s Flight, It’s a Small World, The Barnstormer, Mad Tea Party, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Princess Fairytale Hall
    • Tomorrowland:  Tomorrowland Speedway, Astro Orbiter, Space Mountain, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
  • Available Character Meet & Greets –  The following character meet and greets will be available during the event for guests to interact with some of their favorite characters:
    • Adventureland:  Genie, Abu, Terk, Timon
    • Liberty Square:  Dr. Facilier
    • Frontierland:  Goofy, Wendell, Big Al
    • Fantasyland:  Chicken Little, Abby Mallard, Max, Ludwig Von Drake, Clarice, Pinocchio, Fowlfellow, Gideon, Cinderella, Princess Charming, Elena, Ariel, Prince Eric, Belle, Beast, Rapunzel, Flynn Rider
    • Tomorrowland:  Bowler Hat Guy
  • Complimentary Food and Beverages – There will be complimentary snacks and beverages at the event for all guests attending to enjoy.  The options will include things like cookies, chips, veggies, fruit, fountain beverages, waters, etc.  There will also be quick service options available for purchase, too.  The food locations where snacks will be are as follows:
    • Casey’s Corner
    • Tomorrowland Terrace (also a location for Vegetarian options)
    • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe
    • Pinocchio Village Haus
    • Columbia Harbour House
    • Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe
    • Tortuga Tavern
  • Try Everything Dance Party – There will be a dance party at Rockettower Plaza Stage from 10AM to 1AM that includes Mickey, Minnie, Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps.
  • Disney Vacation Club Executives Meet and Greet – They will be meeting and greeting with guests from 9:30 to 11PM at the Lunching Pad.
  • Moonlight Magic Fireworks Spectacular – There will be special fireworks for all party guests at midnight.
