Epcot’s World Showcase at Walt Disney World is a great spot to learn more about other cultures, cuisines and experiences. World Showcase offers a variety of experiences including live shows, character meet and greets, films, art displays and more. We are excited to learn that a new art exhibition will be coming to the American Heritage Gallery at The American Adventure pavilion within World Showcase. The new exhibition is called, “Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art”. This new display is set to open at the pavilion this summer.

“Creating Tradition: Innovation and Change in American Indian Art” will be brought to the pavilion through the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture (MIAC) in Santa Fe, New Mexico and the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian (NMAI) in Washington, D.C. providing the items for the display. There will be a variety of works featured from different artists including fashion designer Loren Aragon (Acoma Pueblo), noted doll maker Glenda McKay (Ingalik-Athabascan), and Juanita Growing Thunder (Assiniboine Sioux) from the Growing Thunder family of Montana.
There will also be interactive components to the exhibition where guests will be able to learn more about how the art was inspired and created. This is a great opportunity to learn and see amazing works of art.
Who else can’t wait to check out this new art exhibit?
