We have previously announced several of the new attractions and experiences coming to Walt Disney World, and thanks to Disney Parks Blog we have exciting updates and new details about exciting stuff that in store. Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Bob Chapek shared updates on several of the new developments. Check out the details below:

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is officially confirmed to open on March 4th, 2020, at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Per Disney Parks Blog, “On Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, you’ll step through the movie screen and join Mickey, Minnie and friends like never before – bursting into a world where mouse rules apply.”
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is now set to open to guests in 2021! “In this new type of immersive vacation, you’ll become the hero of your own adventure in an experience that surrounds you 24/7 in Star Wars storytelling.” This is going to be an amazing resort experience unlike anything that guests have ever experienced at Walt Disney World!
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has been confirmed to officially open in summer 2020 at the France pavilion at Epcot. You can also check out this great image of the ride vehicles and a section of the attraction!
Mickey Shorts Theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios will show an original short film that features Mickey Mouse. There will also be a photo opportunity for guests. Check out this newly released artist rendering of the theater!
Disney’s DuckTales World Showcase Adventure is coming to Epcot! According to Disney Parks Blog, “You’re invited to join Scrooge McDuck, Donald, Launchpad, Webby and the nephews in search of priceless treasure. Using the Play Disney Parks mobile app, guests take a trip around World Showcase discovering exotic destinations, exciting mysteries, and maybe even a few thieves, villains and supernatural guardians of ancient artifacts.”
There will also be three newly developed films that will debut on January 17th, 2020 at Epcot. Here is a rundown of the films below:
- “Awesome Planet” in The Land pavilionshowcases the Earth’s beauty and diversity in a 10-minute film featuring spectacular imagery, in-theater effects and an original musical score from Academy Award-winning® composer Steven Price.
- “Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along” in the France pavilion is directed and produced by Don Hahn, producer of the animated and live-action “Beauty and the Beast” films, and invites guests to participate in a twist on a tale as old as time. It also features narration from Angela Lansbury, who played Mrs. Potts in the original film. The new sing-along will run in rotation with “Impressions de France,” which will receive an upgrade to 4K projection.
- “Canada Far and Wide in Circle-Vision 360” in the Canada pavilion is an update to the previous “O Canada!” film with new scenes, a new musical score by Canadian composer Andrew Lockington and new narration by award-winning actors Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy.
Space 220 Restaurant is one of the newest restaurants to join the Walt Disney World family and it will debut this winter at Epcot. The space elevator at the restaurant will take guests 220 miles above the earth’s surface for amazing views and a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue is another new dining location that is coming to Epcot. This location is a fast-casual restaurant that will also open this winter at The American Adventure pavilion. The restaurant will feature food and beers from different areas around the United States.
Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant will be joining the line-up of offerings at Toy Story Land. The location is set to open sometime in 2020. The experience will be an immersive restaurant that will take guests to a fun rodeo right within Andy’s backyard.
