New Finding Nemo Musical Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2022

Disney Parks Blog just announced that they will be a new Finding Nemo Musical coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in 2022. Here is their official announcement from Shawn Slater:

“When my twin boys were little, “Nemo” was one of their first words. They loved the movie, and seeing it come to life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom would always put grins on their faces and a tear in my eye. “Finding Nemo — The Musical” has been delighting our guests since 2007, and I’m excited to tell you a reimagined show, based on the same beloved characters, will debut in 2022.

Although our Disney Live Entertainment team is still in the early stages of development for the show, the musical retelling of this underwater tale of family, friendship and kindness will feature new story material, as well as fan favorite songs such as “In the Big Blue World” and “Go with the Flow.

Stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog for updates on this new show as we get closer to its debut next year.”

With many closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a lot of question if Finding Nemo The Musical would reopen or not. We haven’t been told much, but the show will feature new story material and fan favorite songs that we all know and love. Hopefully, this is a step to start having things go back to some sense of normal while still keeping all Guests and Cast Members safe. Everyone can do their part to protect themselves and others, and only then can we all get back out into the world and live life again.

With all the exciting things coming for the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World, it will be truly magical, and this is just another addition to that. Are you planning a trip to Walt Disney World soon? Let us know on our Facebook page.

About Tricia Kennedy

Tricia lives in Orlando and loves having Walt Disney World pretty much in her backyard. She can be found at Disney several times a week. She will often stop by a park for an hour or two, but she also enjoys spending a whole day there with her friends. A lifelong Star Wars fan, Tricia especially enjoys Star Tours and has ridden over 200 times. Tricia's other favorite thing is Disney's BoardWalk, where she can often be found taking a walk or watching the nightly street performers. If Tricia is not at the parks she's out playing drums or with her dog Yoda.
