Hopefully many of you out there have been fortunate enough to check out the hyper-reality Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire experience by ILMxLAB and The VOID in the Disney Springs area of Walt Disney World.  For those of you who frequent Disneyland in California, the experience is also located within the Downtown Disney District.  We learned today that another hyper-reality experience will be coming soon and this one inspired by the upcoming Walt Disney Animation Studios film, Ralph Breaks the Internet.  The film is set to arrive in theaters on November 21st, 2018.

Ralph Breaks VR will be the newest multi-sensory Disney adventure.  Guests will be immersed into the internet and gaming with favorite characters from the movie.  “Our filmmakers and the terrific people at ILMxLAB have collaborated to bring an incredible hyper-real experience, for all ages, to The VOID,” said Oscar-winning “Ralph Breaks the Internet” producer, Clark Spencer. “We can’t wait for people to be immersed in the worlds of the internet and online gaming with Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope.”

“At ILMxLAB, we are truly excited for fans to ‘Step Inside Our Stories’ by extending our award-winning creative collaboration with The VOID across The Walt Disney Company. Together, we will soon invite guests into other beloved Disney franchises where they can explore rich worlds, engage with compelling characters, embark upon heart-pounding adventures, and indulge the senses — experiencing the magic as never before,” said Vicki Dobbs Beck, ILMxLAB Executive in Charge.

We don’t have all of the official details yet for the launch date and future hyper-reality experiences that Disney is planning, but of course we will keep you updated here as we learn more!
