We previously announced the changes to online planning tools and the new date-based tickets that would be coming to Walt Disney World, and they have now officially launched. Tickets are still able to be purchased on DisneyWorld.com, within the My Disney Experience mobile app, on the phone, from authorized ticket sellers and at any of the four theme parks. With this latest debut guests are able to utilize a variety of online planning tools including park overviews, travel tips from Disney Parks Moms and customized suggestions based on guest personal preferences. Guests are able to purchase their theme park tickets using the interactive online calendar, which will show the ticket price for the date that is selected and change as the dates are shifted around.

With this change, there are shifts to the ticket pricing that have resulted in increases, decreases or staying the same. For example, a guest purchasing a 3-day ticket with a start date of Feb. 10, 2019 will now actually pay $4 less per day than they would have before. A Guest purchasing a 6-day ticket with a start date of this Thanksgiving will now pay a little more – an average of $5 per day – since it’s one of the most popular times of year to visit.
The goal of this pricing model is to help spread attendance throughout the year and encourage visits to less popular times. Once ticket purchases have been made, guests are able to plan their park visit using the updated My Disney Experience app. For more information on date-based tickets and pricing, guests can visit Disney’s FAQs page.
