The Swan and Dolphin Resorts are located close to Disney’s Boardwalk. These resorts are not owned by Disney, but are actually owned by Marriott. They have a prime location right on Walt Disney World property with boat access and Disney bus transportation to and from all of the theme parks and major areas within Walt Disney World. The rumor mill is buzzing with news that there could be a third resort planned for this area. This resort is also expected to be owned by Marriott and not an official Walt Disney World resort.

There have been height balloons spotted around the area, with speculation that this is in prep to gather designs and plans for a new resort to be added to the area. There is an area close to Fantasia Gardens & Miniature Golf that is expected to be the build site. There isn’t a ton of available space in this area, so it would be expected to be a smaller boutique style resort, rather than a sprawling resort that spans across tons of acres. There is no word yet on what the expected theme would be for the resort and if it would be aligned with Swan & Dolphin.
Of course this is all still rumor and speculation. There have been no official announcements made by Disney or Marriott related to the possible resort, so for now, this is just fun gossip and we have to wait and see what will come of it.
