New Year’s Eve Outside of Walt Disney World: “Rocking New Year” at Sunset Walk

Disney Park Pass Reservations are full for December 31. If you plan to be in the Orlando area on New Year’s Eve but can’t hit the Theme Parks, what should you do? One possibility is Rocking New Year’s Eve at nearby Sunset Walk.

Located in front of Margaritaville Orlando Resort, Sunset Walk is a quick drive from Walt Disney World. It is just a few minutes from Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Most of the time, Sunset Walk is a shopping and dining district. You’ll find great souvenirs, and there are some fantastic places to eat. On New Year’s Eve, things will be a little bit different.

At 8:00 P.M. on December 31, “Rocking New Year” 2022 – The EXPERIENCE – Immersive Non-Stop Street Party will take place. Here’s the description from the website:

The EXPERIENCE: Immersive Non-stop Street Party

Friday, December 31, 2021
8 PM

Featuring: Scotty B & Project: DJ Slam, plus live musicians, vocalists, dancers, DJ K1X, street performers, and more.

Special effects, midnight fireworks spectacular and confetti storm. Complimentary party favors. Free parking.

An All Ages Event. Children 10 and under receive FREE admission with paid adults.

No strollers, blankets, chairs, umbrellas, or outside food & beverages permitted.

The cost for “Rocking New Year” 2022 – The EXPERIENCE – Immersive Non-Stop Street Party is $30 per person. Children under 10 are admitted for free with a paying adult. You can buy your tickets here.

Sunset Walk is a great way to spend a few hours outside of the Disney Bubble any time of the year. There is live music Wednesdays through Sundays. On Saturday afternoons and evenings, you can enjoy Show Car Saturday Nights. There are other special events throughout the year.
