We learned earlier this week more information about the upcoming Disney+ series Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi as we were told we could look forward to seeing both Ewan McGregor return to our screens as Obi-Wan Kenobi and see Hayden Christensen return in the role of Darth Vader. Even though we will be seeing these two return, we learned that the controversial Jar Jar Banks will not be coming back.

Jar Jar Binks actor, Ahmed Best, posted on his social media confirming that he won’t be returning to the role for the Disney+ series.
Thanks for the love, but I will not be in this series. As much as I would’ve loved to be a part of it. But I’m ecstatic to see folks who I love dearly back together doing great things.

Ahmed also responded to fans asking about his role by saying:
“I don’t know how likely either of those will be, but it brings me joy to know that I’ve brought joy to the galaxy.”
This new series will begin 10 years after the dramatic events of “Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith”, where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
If this series is anything like The Mandalorian, we can’t wait for it to get started. Will you be watching?
