Currently, according to My Disney Experience and the Disney Parks website, there are no showings of Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away until July 16th, 2017. The show is a stage show that take place on the live stage in front of the Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World. Even more puzzling, the stage where the show takes place has been completely removed from the area.

We are uncertain if the show will return in a different location or if the dates will be updated again to further delay the re-opening of the show. We also aren’t sure of the reason for removing the stage and postponing the show for a few weeks, but we will update if we learn any additional details on this.
The other Star Wars themed attractions, shows and events have been taking place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as planned, and will hopefully continue to do so.
It is possible that this stage was removed to plan for an increased amount of guests for the newest projection show that has been being tested at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Whatever the reason, we find it very interesting and will keep an ear out for what is going on so that we can update our readers!
