Some of the best attractions at Disney Parks are actually live performances, not rides. And one of the most highly-anticipated musical attractions, especially for fans of Marvel, is currently in the works.
Shows have been a major part of the Disney Parks experience since the opening of Disneyland in 1955. Between parades, fireworks, Audio-Animatronics shows, 3D shows, and live musical performances, there are plenty of ways to get your theatre fix at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

One popular stage show under the Walt Disney Company umbrella has been an immediate hit since its showstopping musical number “Save the City,” aired on Disney+. The musical in question is, of course, Rogers: the Musical, which Marvel fans initially saw during the first episode of Hawkeye on Disney+.
The number was later performed at the 2022 D23 Expo last September at the Anaheim Convention Center, which while exciting for fans in attendance, lent itself to some serious FOMO from everyone watching at home.
Earlier this year, after much speculation surrounding casting calls, Disney confirmed that Rogers: the Musical would be coming to Disney California Adventure.

Today, the Disney Parks Blog confirmed that Rogers: The Musical will open at the Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure this summer on June 30, 2023. The limited-time engagement will include 30-minute shows taking place most weeks over the summer Tuesday-Saturday.
While the opening date announcement also noted that new food and beverage and merchandise offerings will debut in the Park to coincide with Rogers: The Musical, no end-date has been confirmed for the show.

More About Rogers: The Musical
In Hawkeye, fans only saw a quick glimpse of the show as performers on stage reenacted the battle of New York from Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) through the song “Save the City.” The one-act musical at Hyperion Theater will include this memorable number along with a look at the full journey of Steve Rogers becoming Captain America. Included in the show are a full cast of singers and dancers, with such famous faces at Peggy Carter and Nick Fury (and he’s going to sing!)
Be sure to check the Disneyland app for current showtimes when Rogers: The Musical opens this summer. As always, we’ll be back with more information on Rogers: The Musical as it becomes available here on Disney Tips.
