It is that time again! Disney’s Animal Kingdom is hosting their annual Earth Day celebration, Party for the Planet. This year the event will be offered from April 20th through April 22nd. During the event, guests will get to enjoy a variety of special family-friendly experiences and offerings just for this special occasion. Right as guests enter the park, they will see a large sculpture celebrating Disneynature Penguins, which is set to debut in theaters on April 17th, 2019. There will also be special character experiences, entertainment, photo opportunities, merchandise and more scattered throughout the park.
During the event, guests can also meet some of the animal care experts, animal educators and conservation experts to learn more about how to help some of the endangered species. There will be animal feedings and training experiences that are just for this event, too.
Tiffins Talks are also set to return for the event. This is a special dining experience at Tiffins, offered on April 20th through 22nd from 1 PM to 3 PM. During this experience, Walt Disney Imagineer and Portfolio Executive Joe Rohde will tell stories of his travels during a 4 course lunch. The event costs $199, plus tax and gratuity. Valid park admission to Animal Kingdom is also required. Reservations are already open for the event!
Guests can also meet Joe Rohde at Mombasa Marketplace from 10 AM to 11:30 AM on April 20th through 22nd. He will be doing signings of his artwork, a lion print that will be on sale while supplies last. A wristband is required in order to meet Joe Rohde.
On Earth Day (April 22nd), there will be a variety of merchandise themed after The Lion King available for purchase at Mombasa Marketplace. There are items like a Simba mug, Hakuna Matata Spirit Jersey, Simba youth baseball hat and more.
