Percy Jackson Series to Reportedly Run For 5 Seasons

Fantasy adventures featuring a teenager who was the demigod son of Poseidon made for an extremely popular book series. Now we are being told that the Percy Jackson series might have five seasons on Disney+ and we are thrilled to see these adventures come to life.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians was a film that received lukewarm reviews and the sequel The Lightning Thief received even worse reports from critics; however, we are hopeful that this new creative production will bring better reviews.

First of all, the author of the series Rick Riordan is heavily invovled in the upcoming series that is currently being reviewed before moving forward with the development of the series.

Having Riordan on board is a big step in the right direction to the point that, Daniel Richtman claims that Percy Jackson will run for five seasons, which shouldn’t come as a surprise given that there are five books in the main series. Whether or not the studio have actually committed to all of them is another question entirely, one that will surely depend on how the first run of episodes are received whenever they arrive, but it certainly seems as if there are big plans in store for the project.

Will you be tuning in for these epic adventures or did the movies turn you off to this franchise?

About Jennifer Retzlaff

My name is Jennifer Retzlaff and I became a lifelong Disney fan during my first trip to Walt Disney World in 6th grade. From that moment, Disney became a big part of my life. I live in Iowa with my husband and two kids who are growing up too quickly for my liking. I started introducing my love for Disney early to my family with a Disney honeymoon and then trips when our youngest of 18 months. Since then, our family has been to Walt Disney World over five times and we continue to plan and dream for the next trip. I love the magic that Disney brings to people through the theme parks, cruises, adventures and movies they create. As a teacher, I try to bring that magic into my classroom to help kids believe that “If You Can Dream It, You Can Do It.” I recently reached a dream of mine as I joined Magic Vacation Planner as a personal travel advisor. With this team, I can now help others plan magical vacations. As a passionate writer, I also have my own blog at magicalvacationsbyjen which is also where you can follow me on instagram for trip reviews along with tips and tricks for your next magical vacation.
