We announced previously that a new restaurant, Ale & Compass, would be coming to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Walt Disney World. The new restaurant has been added at the location where Captain’s Grille used to be at the resort. Ale & Compass is Disney’s take on a “New England gastropub.” There will also be an open oven area within the restaurant where guests can get a glimpse of the culinary action. We have now learned from Disney Parks Blog that the wait is over! The restaurant started taking reservations today for meals starting on November 26th, 2017 and future dates. The restaurant will be offering breakfast, lunch and dinner services, too!

Lenny DeGeorge, Culinary Director for the Flavor Lab at Disney, has this to say: “The menu is inspired by all the great restaurants in the New England area that I have experienced growing up. The New England melting pot of flavors and ingredients from Italy, Portugal, and England, coupled with central Florida influences, are present on the menu that delivers modern gastropub classics.”
The restaurant has been expanded and re-imagined from the previous location. The Ale & Compass Lounge is also adjacent to the restaurant and offers a variety of cocktails and small plate kind of options if you aren’t looking for a full table-service meal.
