Select Restaurant Reservations at Walt Disney World Available on OpenTable

For those of you that spend time hunting for dining reservations at Walt Disney World, you might find it very interesting to learn that select Walt Disney World restaurants are now available on OpenTable to book dining reservations.  OpenTable is an online tool to make dining reservations at restaurants that are located all around the United States.  There were previously a few non-Disney owned restaurant locations in Disney Springs that were on OpenTable, but now it looks like that has been extended to several Disney owned restaurants as well.

Here are the Walt Disney World Restaurants that you can make reservations for on OpenTable (not including Disney Springs locations):

  • Flying Fish: Disney’s Boarkwalk Inn
  • Grand Floridan Cafe: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
  • Boatwright’s: Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside
  • The Wave: Disney’s Contemporary Resort
  • Artist Point: Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • Sanaa: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village
  • Olivia’s Cafe: Old Key West Resort
  • Kona Cafe: Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
  • Jiko – The Cooking Place: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House

In order to book on OpenTable, guests will have to sign up for an account with them.  Guests are able to modify or cancel reservations after they are made within their account.  It is very similar to making an Advance Dining Reservation through My Disney Experience, except with OpenTable, guests are not required to provide a credit card in order to hold the reservation.  This means that guests are not charged a last minute cancellation fee or a no show fee.  With OpenTable, if there are 3 no shows on the account, that could result in the ability of being able to reservations with them being taken away.  Guests using OpenTable also won’t be able to book reseravtions 180 days in advance.  The reservations are only for a couple of months in advance as opposed to 6 months with My Disney Experience.  Guests that want to plan far in advance would definitely still want to use My Disney Experience.

What do you think of these newly added restaurants to OpenTable?  Have any of you used OpenTable for your Disney dining reservations in the past?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
