Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge officially opened to guests last week, amid the looming concern for Hurricane Dorian in the Central Florida area. The new, themed land transports guests to the planet of Batuu, which is a planet on the Outer Rim of the Star Wars galaxy! If you will be staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, then you will definitely want to be aware of the Extra Magic Hours timing that will be available for guests who are concerned about getting into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Walt Disney World is offering “Extra” Extra Magic Hours to resort guests form Sunday, September 1st through November 2nd, 2019. During these special hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the park will open several attractions starting at 6 AM, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. This time in the park will only be for guests staying at one of the Walt Disney World resorts, so you have a much better chance of getting in and experiencing the new land. Not only that, this extra time also extends to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom Park!
If you are hoping to catch the beautiful sunrise on Batuu, that doesn’t happen until a little after 7 AM in Orlando in September, so guests will have the opportunity to see the land in the dark and then watch it turn to day.
