Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the home to a Star Wars themed stage show, Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away. The show is full of Star Wars characters, music and events that keep the crowd engaged and excited for more. We have learned that the show will experience a closure during the second half of September that is sure to be disappointing for the guests vising during that time. The stage show is expected to close on September 13th and remain closed through September 26th. Currently the show is expected to re-open for guests starting on September 27th.

The reason for the closure is rumored to be related to a new mobile stage for the show. Updating the mobile stage will allow the show to be more easily moved when needed in order to accommodate other experiences at the park. The stage can also block views of the Chinese Theater, too, so that this allows the stage to be moved and relocated as needed. We have not heard of any reports of changes expected for the show and expect it to re-open with the exact same show.
We will keep you posted as we learn more and if we learn of any changes planned. Who is going to miss Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away while it is gone?
