The fall celebrations are underway at Disney World. Magic Kingdom has been transformed into a fall foliage wonderland with Mickey-shaped pumpkins to tie it all together. Disney decorates the Parks for the holiday season, but that’s not all. Disney’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has also begun, and it’s their Halloween celebration from August to November.

On select nights, Guests can immerse themselves in all things Halloween and Disney with limited-time entertainment, trick-or-treating, tasty new food delights, and a spectacular firework show. The sought-after event is a special ticket price only held at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Additional fun is seeing your favorite characters dressed in their Halloween costumes, like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Thanks to the holiday, the Halloween event brings forth characters we don’t typically see. The Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus (1993), Headless Horseman, and Jack Skellington are to name a few of the spooky Guests in attendance.

Disney gives Guests many reasons to look forward to this event and, more so, to buy a ticket! As the Halloween party began in August, Guests shared their experiences on social media. Recently, one fan shared a video to TikTok showing a scary experience for a character.

Headless Horseman Accident Captured on Camera

“A person on social media captured the moment the famous Headless Horseman took a rather scary fall sometime last week,” Inside the Magic wrote. In the TikTok video below, you can see the Headless Horseman trotting down the street as usual. This occurs right before the Boo To You parade commences. As you can see in the video, it looks like, for no reason at all, the horse falls, slamming both the horse and character to the ground. Although dark, it doesn’t seem like there was any object in the way that would have caused the tumble.

Neither appear to have been injured as they get back up quite fast. Maybe that’s just the magic of Cast Members, trying to keep the magic even after they have been injured. But hopefully, both the character and horse were okay. Furthermore, “But these types of incidents are standard and do happen from time to time throughout theme parks,” Inside the Magic details. As much as Disney would like to shield the world from all behind-the-scenes information and keep the magic going, things can go array.

The TikTok video says much about the training Cast Members and characters undergo with the idea that the show must go on when Guests are in sight. Although it may have been a gasping moment for the Guests, the quick response to the fall looks to have kept the evening going without interruption.
