We are only a few months away from the start of the 24th Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.  The event will kick off on August 29th, 2019 and will be run for 87 days.  This will be the longest run for the event in 24 years, so that means a lot of entertainment, food, beverages and fun fit into 87 days.  We have a look below at some of the fun in store for the event that you will definitely want to know.

There will be celebrity chefs appearing throughout the festival for different experiences.  Restauranteur Fabio Viviani, Food Network star and cookbook author Aarti Sequeira  and celebrity chef and author David Burtka (who is also the husband of Neil Patrick Harris) will be making their festival debuts this year.  There will also be other celebrity chefs appearing during the festival including Jamie Deen, Carla Hall, Richard Blais, Robert Irvine and Graham Elliot.  Advance reservations are highly recommend for the Sunday Brunch with the Chef experience.

The Eat to the Beat Concert Series is also set to return for the event from August 29th through November 19th, 2019.   There will be a total of 249 concerts performed.  A few new artists will be at the event this year including India, Taylor Dayne and Kenny G.  Guests can book the Eat to the Beat Dining Package at participating Epcot restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner reservations in order to have guaranteed seating for one of the Eat to the Beat Concert performances.

There are a variety of great activities for guests of all ages including Candy Sushi, which is hosted by Adventures by Disney and the candy provided by Mars Wrigley Confectionery.  The offering is located at Sunshine Seasons in The Land pavilion and offered two times each day.  The experience required a small fee and pairs families with a Disney chef for a chance to create sweet sushi treats.  The event can be booked in advance and is subject to availability.

If you love chocolate, you won’t want to miss The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar, which is hosted by Ghirardelli Chocolate Company.  It will be located at the entrance of the Harvest Theater in The Land pavilion.  Ghirardelli will be whipping up chocolate sundae treats that will be available for purchase at Sunshine Seasons.

There will be great merchandise and accessories available for purchase, too.  For more information or to make reservations for some of the seminars and activities, guests can visit TasteEpcot.com or call 407-939-3378.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
