The 4th of July is a major holiday for Walt Disney World.  Guest come from all over the country to be witness to some of the most amazing fireworks displays in the world.  We are extremely excited to learn that Disney’s Grand Floridan Resort & Spa will host a special limited ticket event to celebrate the United States Independence Day, July 4th.  The event will take place at the marina at the resort.  It will include a grilled steak and shrimp dinner that includes alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.  After the meal, guests will have a prime viewing location to watch the 4th of July fireworks show performed at the Magic Kingdom.  The music will be piped into the area so that guests will be able to hear the music during the show, too.

The tickets will run around $120, plus tax for adults and $59, plus tax for children (ages 3-9).  Reservations are already available for the event by calling (407) WDW-DINE.  We definitely recommend that you make your reservation as soon as you can if you want to attend the event.  This is sure to be an extremely popular event and the first time that this is offered at the resort.  When you call to make your reservation, you will need to be prepared to prepay for the event at the time that you call in.  Disney typically requires full payment in advance for special ticketed events like this.  Since you will be at a Disney resort, there will be no park admission required to attend the event.  You also do not have to be staying at the resort in order purchase tickets to the event.

What do you all think of this new event?  Who out there would love to attend?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
