We previously announced that the Tomorrowland Speedway in the Tomorrowland area of Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World was closing. The closure was in order for changes to the attraction in order to accommodate the construction for the TRON attraction that is coming to Tomorrowland. The Tomorrowland Speedway track area was in part of where the TRON attraction is expected to reside. The track wasn’t radically changed, but just slightly shortened in order to accommodate the location for TRON. The attraction closed on January 2nd, 2019 and is now officially back open for guests to enjoy. Tomorrowland Speedway is extremely popular, so we are sure that guests are very excited about this!

For those of you who are following the construction for TRON, the attraction is currently set to open in 2021 which is just in time for the 50th celebration for Walt Disney World. The attraction will be based on the very popular attraction, TRON Lightcycle Power Run, in Shanghai Disneyland. We are tracking the progress for the new attraction and will keep you posted as we learn more.
Who else is glad that Tomorrowland Speedway is finally open again?
