Here you will find two extremely popular attractions known as Avatar Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey. You can expect a thrilling ride on Avatar Flight of Passage as you climb aboard a Banshee (dragon-like creature) and ride through the beautiful World of Avatar. The Na’vi River Journey is a perfect family-friendly attraction as guests boat down river and see just how beautiful the Na’vi tribe’s rainforest is with bioluminescence lighting and the latest animatronics. Unfortunately, you can only FastPass ONE of these two attractions because both attraction are on Tier One of Animal Kingdom’s FastPass System. 2. Kilimanjaro Safaris

One of the most popular attractions in Disney’s Animal Kingdom can be found in the Africa section of the park nestled in the town of Harambe. Kilimanjaro Safaris invites guests to board authentic safari vehicles and set off into the Harambe Reserve for a two week adventure. Along the way, guests can enjoy up close encounters with animals including elephants, lions, cheetahs, hippos, rhinos, flamingos, giraffes, and wild dogs. Since the animals are free to roam, each experience on Kilimanjaro Safaris is truly unique and guests love to enjoy the attraction over and over again. Since Kilimanjaro Safaris is so popular, it tends to have long wait times throughout each day in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. 3. Rivers of Light

Embrace yourself for the celebration of nature with the nighttime show at Animal Kingdom, Rivers of Light. This 15-minute show is held in an amphitheater next to Expedition Everest and boasts dramatic storytelling and animal folklore through beautiful floats, inspiring music, impressive water screens, and all the latest technology and special effects. Truly a celebration of nature’s beauty! Crowds flock to the show however so plan to snag a FastPass or check out the Rivers of Light Dining Package.

4. Kali River Rapids

The Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom is home to some beautiful details and architecture as well as a thrilling adventure that might leave guests soaking wet. Kali River Rapids invites guests to board family style rafts and set off down the Chakranadi River. Guests at first enjoy a serene stretch of river and can take in the beautiful details and lush forest. However, they soon learn firsthand of the destruction of deforestation and illegal logging as they stumbling upon a burning section of woodland. While there is an important environmental lesson in the experience, Kali River Rapids also features drops, twists, and turns which are sure to splash guests and leave them pretty wet by the end!

5. Expedition Everest

Also found in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom is an attraction that can be seen from many different places around the park. Expedition Everest brings guests deep into the Forbidden Mountain where the fabled Yeti is protecting his land. What starts out as a serene tea train ride soon takes a sudden turn as guests encounter a piece of broken up track and suddenly find themselves plunging into the darkness of the mountain backwards! With big thrills and a mythical beast, Expedition Everest is extremely popular with guests and typically has long wait times on busy days in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. 6. Festival of the Lion King

One of the most amazing live shows in all of Walt Disney World can be found in the village of Harambe in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The Festival of the Lion King is housed in the Harambe Theater and brings the story of the Disney animated classic The Lion King to life. Guests who enjoy the show can check out familiar characters and songs, fire dancing, aerial ballet, acrobatics, and amazing entertainment. The Festival of the Lion King only runs several times each day in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and each showing has a reserved section for those who booked a FastPass for the experience guaranteeing them a great view.
