DisneyFamily recently posted a fun Mickey Pumpkin Truffle recipe and we think they are adorable. These iconic Disneyland treats are a fun way to have some Mickey magic at home this holiday season.
Here is what you need for the truffles:
- – 36 chocolate sandwich cookies
- – 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- – 1 package orange candy melts
- – Yellow, orange, and green fondant
DisneyFamily Then provides step-by-step easy directions to complete the recipes.
Step One: Pulse chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor until crumbly. Pour into a medium mixing bowl. Mix in cream cheese and stir until a dough-like consistency forms.
Step Two: Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet. Chill for at least an hour.
Step Three: While truffles chill, roll out 48 small orange balls of fondant to form Mickey ears.
Step Four: Melt candy melts in a microwave. Dip a chilled truffle in the melted candy melts and toss until the truffle is fully coated. Place onto a lined baking sheet. While the coating is still melted, carefully place two orange balls of fondant on the top sides of the truffle. You may need to hold the ears in place until the candy melt coating dries. Repeat this process to all the truffles.
Step Five: Roll out the green fondant into a thin layer. Use a utility knife to cut out leaf shapes and gently carve details into the leaves. Make thin coils out of the fondant to make vines and stems. Use a toothpick to apply a small amount of melted candy melt to adhere the leaves, stems, and vines to the tops of the truffles.
Step Six: Roll out the yellow fondant into a thin layer. Use a utility knife to cut out the Mickey Pumpkin’s eyes, nose, and mouth. For the eyes, cut out ovals and use orange candy melt to apply the inner eye pieces. Use small amounts of melted candy melt to adhere the facial features to the truffles.
We can’t wait to try out these delicious Mickey Pumpkin Truffles this Halloween.
