Guests hoping to cool off at the Walt Disney World Resort often plan to spend a day at either Disney’s Blizzard Beach or Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.
Both water parks offer incredible theming, slides for the whole family, wave pools, delicious eats, specialty cocktails, and more (all without the need to make a reservation, unlike the other four Disney theme parks.) Each year, both of Disney’s water parks are closed (at different times) for regular maintenance work. While Blizzard Beach is currently open, Typhoon Lagoon has remained closed for the past few months.

As of this writing, no reopening date is listed for Typhoon Lagoon on Disney’s official website, but we do have an idea of when this water park will once again welcome Guests thanks to the latest updates on Disney After Hours events.
We just reported on exciting updates to the Disney After Hours lineup, which will include events at EPCOT in addition to the previously scheduled events at Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Along with news that Disney After Hours would be expanded to EPCOT, Disney’s official announcement on the upcoming events included the news that H2O Glow Nights will return to Typhoon Lagoon this year!

Disney revealed that while H2O Glow After Hours will return to Typhoon Lagoon on May 20, 2023, the water park will open to day Guests this spring. Spring (thankfully) is right around the corner, so you may be able to spend a day at this Disney water park very soon!
While we wait for confirmation on the official reopening date for this Disney Park, you can always start planning for your next trip to H2O Glow After Hours. Like all Disney After Hours events, H2O Glow Nights come with a late-night at the water park, select snacks and beverages (plus speciality ones available for purchase), and music by a live DJ, character sightings, and more all while experiencing attractions with little to no wait times.

Ticket prices for H2O Glow After Hours range from $59 for adults and $54 for children for Walt Disney World Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club member discounts to the full-priced tickets at $75 for adults and $70 for children. Guests are able to purchase tickets beginning March 3, 2023, with those staying at Disney Resorts able to purchase from February 28, 2023. A full list of pricing information and event dates are available on Disney’s official website.
