We have learned that starting June 1st, Walt Disney World plans to offer paid preferred parking options at Disney Springs. There will be two select lots with preferred parking available for $10. The two lots will be located at the Grapefruit Lot, which is located on the West Side, or the Lemon Lot, which is located closer to the Marketplace area. These paid parking areas will provide closer access to the respective entrances and better parking within the garage. This will be the first of the paid parking options to appear at Disney Springs, with the exception of valet parking.

If you don’t want to pay to park, there is complimentary parking available in the garages, too. There is also a third parking garage under construction. The newest garage will be located next to the Walt Disney World Casting building and will include a pedestrian bridge. This new garage won’t be complete until 2019. The valet options will also remain available, if you would like to pay for those when you head to Disney Springs.
Disney Springs is the home to numerous shopping and dining locations. It is great to make a quick trip or to plan to spend an afternoon touring around. It just all depends on how much time you have and what you want to do.
What do you all think about this paid preferred parking? Would you pay for parking at Disney Springs?
