Walt Disney World Adding Interactive Experiences to Play Disney Parks Mobile

We previously announced the launch of the Play Disney Parks app to help take the guest experience when at Walt Disney World to the next level.  We have learned about two new experiences that are coming to the app for guests to enjoy while at Walt Disney World enjoying their family time.  The goal with these new offerings is to create additional immersive, interactive experiences for guests to enjoy, and these look like they will do just that!

Here is a look at the new offerings:

Stories of the Enchanted Gallery: It looks like Disney’s Art of Animation Resort will be the first resort to offer an experience where guests can bring art on the walls to life.  Through the app, guests can become an animator and create themed art that transforms into living, breathing stories inspired by “Finding Nemo,” “The Lion King,” “The Little Mermaid” and “Cars.”

The ACE Guide to Pandora: Valley of Mo’ara Edition: This offering will offer a different look at Pandora – The World of Avatar within Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  This functionality will allow guests to join Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE) to explore the life of Pandora.  Guests will be able to scan the area for exotic lifeforms, create indigenous music and enjoy other interactive experiences.  There will also be facts and trivia, too!  The experience can be used anywhere in the park, but is extra amazing when in the ride queue for Avatar Flight of Passage within Pandora – The World of Avatar.

Guests can download the app from the App Store or Google Play and check out all of the experiences that are available thus far.  We expect many more updates and enhancements to come in the near future, too!

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
