Walt Disney World Brings Back Egg-Stravaganza and More to Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

For all of you out there already dreaming of spring, you can start getting excited about the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.  Disney Parks Blog confirmed that the event will see the return of the popular Egg-stravaganza scavenger hunt for this year’s festivities.  It looks like we are in store for even more fun this year as there will also be a brand new Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration scavenger hunt, too!  The Egg-stravaganza scavenger hunt will run from March 16th through April 1st.  The hunt will have guests hunting the World Showcase to find eggs that are decorated to look like popular Disney characters.

The maps and stickers for the Egg-stravaganza hunt can be purchases for $5.99, plus tax.  As you find the eggs in the hunt, you add the sticker to the area on the map until you have found them all.   Once you have found the eggs and placed all of your stickers, you return your map to Disney Traders to receive a special surprise.  Maps can be purchased at the following locations:

  • Disney Trader
  • Pin Central
  • World Traveler

There will also be a new scavenger hunt this spring called Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration.  Spike, the honey bee, is pollinating areas around the World Showcase at Epcot.  Guests will track his trail around the pavilions.  Guests can pick up their map and stickers at Port of Entry.  Guest swill search of the plant that Spike has pollinated in the different gardens and then place the sticker in the corresponding area on the map.  Once the map is complete, guests will turn them in for a special surprise.  These scavenger hunt maps are available for $5.99, plus tax.  This hunt will be available for the entire duration of the Flower & Garden Festival, which runs from February 28th through May 28th.

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
