Walt Disney World Debuts New The Lion King-Inspired Merchandise at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

For all of you Lion King fans out there, you are definitely going to want to check out this latest merchandise announcement.  Starting today, there is a variety of new merchandise available at Disney’s Animal Kingdom that is inspired by The Lion King.  We have a look at some of the new items for you below.

‘The Lion King’-Inspired T-Shirt‘The Lion King’-Inspired T-Shirt

The items include a variety of different t-shirts and other apparel that feature Simba and Nala.  The items are now available at Mombasa Marketplace, Island Mercantile and Discovery Trading Company within Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

'The Lion King' Funko Pop collection

There is also a new Funko Pop collection that is inspired by characters from The Lion King.  Rafiki, Simba, Scar, Pumba and Timon can soon be found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom locations.

Per Disney Parks Blog: Disney’s “The Lion King” journeys to the African savanna where a future king must overcome betrayal and tragedy to assume his rightful place on Pride Rock. The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon. Utilizing pioneering filmmaking techniques to bring treasured characters to life in a whole new way, Disney’s “The Lion King” roars into theaters on July 19, 2019.
