Earth Day, April 22nd, is a big day for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It is the day in 1998 that Animal Kingdom welcomed its first guests with the official opening. Earth Day is a perfect celebration for the park since the focus is on conservation and protecting our planet and the animals that live in it. We previously reported that Party for the Planet will be going on over the weekend at Animal Kingdom, but we also learned about new PhotoPass opportunities that will also be available for guests who are visiting the park this weekend.

The special PhotoPass shots will be available from April 21-23 at the theme park. The opportunities include:
- “Born In China” Magic Shot: A special Magic Shot that incorporates the newest Disneynature film, “Born in China” which opened on April 21st. You’ll find this shot in the Asia section of the park, just ask a PhotoPass photographer for the shot! (Sample below.)
- Party for the Planet Frame: You will find this frame opportunity in front of the Tree of Life where you can ask to take pictures with the special frame. (Title picture.)
- Earth Day Sticker: You can have an Earth Day sticker added to any of your photos taken during the celebration. You have this as an option within the editing tools for the pictures. (Sample below.)
Who all will be checking out Animal Kingdom for Earth Day? We’d love to see your pictures!
