Mobile Ordering is one of the newer additions to the My Disney Experience application for Walt Disney World. The service initially only launched with Satu’li Canteen when Pandora – The World of Avatar first opened to guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It has since been rolled out to Flame Tree Barbecue and Pizzafari, both quick-service restaurants at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We are now excited to learn that two more restaurants will now be on the Mobile Ordering service.

The next new restaurant to add this service will be Restaurantosaurus, also in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The start date for the service is expected to be on June 27th. Then starting on July 5th, D-Luxe Burger is expected to join the Mobile Ordering family as the first location outside of Disney’s Animal Kingdom and in Disney Springs to offer the service.
With Mobile Ordering, guests are able to submit their dining order for select quick service restaurants via the My Disney Experience app on their phone. The guest will pay for their order via the app. They will be able to alert the restaurant when they have arrived so that the order can be prepared. The guest will then receive notification when their order is ready to pick up and which window to retrieve the order from. Currently the Disney Dining Plan doesn’t work with the application, and guests with a dining plan have to stand in line as usual to complete their order. We aren’t sure yet if this will be a future enhancement to the application after it has been completely rolled out.
What do you all think of the Mobile Ordering service so far?
