Walt Disney World Finally Opens New Lobby and Dining Locations at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort Lobby

We previously announced details for the new lobby and dining locations that have been in progress at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.  Several of these new developments have now officially debuted at the resort.  Old Port Royale is the port of entry for the resort, where the new porte-cochere welcomes guests into a new, beautiful lobby under an open-trussed roof and a colonnade with floor-to-ceiling drapes.  The lobby is complete with variety of seating options.  There is also new new Calypso Trading Post where guests can shop for a variety of souvenirs and other items.

Old Port Royale includes three new previously announced dining options:

  • Sebastian’s Bistro: Caribbean-inspired table-service restaurant featuring warm island hospitality and waterfront views.  Highlights include a skirt steak “chimichurri,” sautéed shrimp and tamales, a crispy avocado-and-bacon burger and much more.
  • Centertown Market: The location is a fast-casual indoor street market where you’ll find a diverse menu of family-friendly fare. Made-to-order bowls with Latin- and Caribbean-inspired flavors allow you to choose a base, protein and sauce to create your own favorite dish.
  • Banana Cabana:  You will find this location by the pool.  The location features exclusive cocktails and non-alcoholic specialty drinks.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is definitely an amazing place to stay while visiting Walt Disney World.  You have all of these great features and dining locations to check out and enjoy during your next stay!

Which new feature at the resort are you most excited to check out?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
