It appears that if you are a guest at one of the Walt Disney World resorts that are located close to the Magic Kingdom, then you may be in for a special treat. You may be able to be among the first to see some of the new Happily Ever After fireworks show as Disney is completing late night tests. The new firework show is set to officially replace Wishes on May 12th. The resorts we would expect you to be able to get a glimpse of the show from would be the Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Polynesian Village, Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and Wilderness Lodge.

There have even been signs posted at some of the Magic Kingdom area resorts to alert guests to the testing that will be going on. According to the signs, the testing is expected to occur 11:45PM – 1AM. There have also been fliers circulating at the Magic Kingdom resorts. They read as follows:
“You have chosen to stay with us during a very special time, as the Magic Kingdom is currently gearing up for an exciting summer season. While we are making preparations for these changes, please be aware that you may experience noise impacts.” The current scheduled dates for the testing are May 2nd, 7th and 9th.
From what we know about the new show, it looks to be amazing. We can’t wait to see the new show in action, even though will be extremely sad to say goodbye to Wishes forever.
Will any of you be in the area during the test runs? We’d love to see your pictures and video!
