The Edison is a new dining location that will be opening at Disney Springs in Walt Disney World. Disney has announced that The Edison will host a special Gala Grand Opening event on New Year’s Eve this December 31st, 2017. This event will include an immersive dining experience including dinner, drinks and desserts. The event will start at 8 PM (with the doors opening at 7:30 PM) on New Year’s Eve and run through the New Year’s Eve countdown at midnight with a special toast. There will be various themed areas to enjoy including The Ember Parlor, Telegraph Lounge, The Patent Office, Lab performance space, The Tesla Lounge, The Radio Room and the Waterfront Patio. The meal will include passed hors d’oeuvres, on-stage food stations, various alcoholic beverages, coffee and dessert, plus a special toast at midnight to ring in 2018 with everyone at the gala.

Tickets are already on sale for the event. The tickets are $150 each (not including tax and gratuity), with only a select number of tickets available. All guests in attendance must be at least 21 o older in order to attend the event. There will also be a strict dress code for the event. Men should wear slacks, jeans or dress shorts. There are no sleeveless shirts, flip-flops or ball caps allowed at the party. Jackets are optional, but not required.
