Walt Disney World is expecting to see an extremely large turnout for the grand opening of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The new land is expected to officially open on May 27th to all guests. Disney has already made adjustments to bus loops and transportation to accommodate the additional visitors. There are also extra hours and longer Extra Magic Hours for resort guests. Disney is also taking extra measures by increasing the amount of Guest Services cast members that will be on staff. Currently the increased staff is expected for opening weekend, May 27th through 29th, as well as the next weekend, June 2nd through June 4th. The additional staff will be in select locations on these dates from 10AM to 6:30PM.

The additional cast members will be at the following locations around Animal Kingdom (with no locations inside Pandora – The World of Avatar):
- Africa: Behind Tamu Tamu refreshments location
- Asia: On the left side of the Wilderness Explorers Wildlife Field Station
- Dinoland U.S.A.: Close to the Dinoland disney Vacation Club stand
- Discovery Island: Across from it’s Tough to Be a Bug
These cast members will be available to answer guest questions and help with various issues that guest may encounter during their visit, including issues with My Disney Experience, FastPass+, etc.
