How many of you out there knew that Disney actually charges a fee for scenarios where there are more than 2 adults staying in a single room. Well this is definitely the case. This is true for resort stays at all resorts in the value, moderate and deluxe categories. Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts or family suites at other resorts are the only exceptions to this rule. Adults are considered guests that are aged 18 and older. It looks like the fee that has been charged in the past will increase for 2018 resort stays.

This change will go into effect starting on January 1st, 2018. The fee is applied per person, per night plus tax that go over 2 guests in the room, ages 18+.
The new fee breakdown is as follows:
- Value Resorts: $15 per night, per additional adult (increased from $10)
- Moderate Resorts: $25 per night, per additional adult (increased from $15)
- Deluxe Resorts: $35 per night, per additional adult (increased from $25)
The change will only affect recent bookings and not bookings that were made super early. It is very possible if you booked your 2018 stay right away that you may not be subject to this additional fee.
How many of you have even noticed the charge to your room? How many of you travel with more than 2 adults staying in a room? My family has never encountered the fee before, but it is good to know that it could be applied in these scenarios.
