Walt Disney World to Offer Paint-Your-Own Oaxacan Carving Offering at Coronado Springs Resort

It looks like Walt Disney World will be offering a new and unique experience for guests that will be visiting Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.  This new offering is a crafting experience where guests get to show a little bit more of their artistic side.  At the event, guests will be able to paint their very own Oaxacan wood carving, perfectly fitting with the culture of the resort.  Oaxacan carvings are typically designed in a unique way and painted with bright, rich colors.  The traditional carvings are hand carved into a piece of wood that comes from a copal tree.  The event will be held at Panchito’s Gift and Sundries at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.  It will only be on Wednesday and Friday nights from 5 PM to 9 PM.

“Paint your own Oaxacan wood carving! Stop by Panchito’s Gift and Sundries at Disney’s #CoronadoSpringsResort on Wednesday and Friday nights from 5-9p.”

We love that Disney is offering so many amazing things for guests to enjoy above and beyond the theme parks.  Events like this allow you to create an amazing souvenir to commemorate your trip and also make amazing memories with your loved ones.

Who else would love to head over to Coronado Springs to check this out?

About Christy Caby

I am a diehard Disney fanatic! I fell in love with all things Disney from an early age and that only increased once I first visited Walt Disney World! It led me to complete a yearlong Disney College Program working at merchandise locations within Disney’s Hollywood Studios (Disney-MGM Studios at that time) and I worked for Disney Parks & Resorts Technology in Project/Program Management. Now I get to write about Disney and help others plan their magical vacations! Disney holds a special place in the hearts of my entire family as my husband proposed there, we honeymooned there, took trips while pregnant with each of my boys and have visited with them many, many times from 8 weeks old through now. One of my favorite memories from each trip is always the look on my kids’ faces the first time they see the castle. I’d love to help you plan your magical vacation!
