Walt Disney World Offering Minnie Vehicle Service

We previously announced that there would be an Uber-like service coming to Walt Disney World.  This service would allow guests to arrange their own private transportation from one location at Walt Disney World and be able to go to another other location within Walt Disney World property.  The service can be contacted right from the guest’s smartphone and then a car will arrive to pick them up.  Even better, the car is a Minnie Mouse inspired vehicle, so you get to ride in Disney style.

The new service will be officially starting in July.  The service will first only be available at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort and Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort for pickup, but can be taken to any location around Walt Disney World.  The plan is expand this service to other resorts and pickup locations as the service gets tested and tweaked to handle the response to the service.

It will be interesting to see how popular the service ends up being and how many guests take advantage of door to door to delivery during their stay at Walt Disney World.  This would definitely save a lot of time waiting for buses and walking from some of the bus transportation.  We will share information as soon as we have updates about how the service is doing and when we can expect an expansion.
