In another edition of the 12 Days of Disney Parks Christmas announcements on Disney Parks Blog, we have learned about a whole new show that is set to open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the spring of 2018. The show will include Russell and Dug from Disney•Pixar’s heartwarming movie, UP. The new show will be about Russell and Dug discovering different species of birds from around the world. There will also be encounters for guests with the birds, too. The show will open just in time for the 20th anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, too.

Of course the addition of this new show will mean a closure coming to the park. The show will take over the location where Flights of Wonder is currently performed. The show will continue to be performed throughout the month of December. The final show will be on December 31st, 2017 in order to start preparing for the new show to open to guests.
We will post more updates as soon as we have them. Be sure to go and visit Flight of Wonder one last time while you still can, too! It looks like we will probably see many of the favorite birds and creatures from the current show make an appearance in the new show at least!
What do you all think about this new UP-themed show replacing Flights of Wonder at Disney’s Animal Kingdom?
