If you have ever had a minor injury, issue or illness on vacation or if you worry about what you would do if this type of situation should arise, you will be very interested to check out this latest pilot at Walt Disney World. Disney is trying out a new service where a registered nurse has hours on-site at one of the resorts. For the pilot, the on-site nurse will be located at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort starting on January 22nd. The hours for the service will be from 7 AM to 11 AM. This on-site nurse will be able to provide guests with various healthcare services including band-aids, medical advice/recommendations and over-the-counter medications. If there is a need for an additional level of care, the nurse will be able to advise the guests on what they should do.

The pilot is expected to run for 90 days. After this time, Disney will likely make a determination on who this service may be rolled out across other areas around Walt Disney World. We don’t know at this time if this service might only be limited to the resorts in the future or if we could see this service at the parks and other locations, too. We will keep you posted as we learn more.
Hopefully you all won’t need this service when you are on vacation, but it is very helpful to have if you do!
